A rate tag is a reusable pricing object that can set be on rating formulas. MATRIXX Engine identifies charges that use rating formulas associated with the same rate tag and groups them together in the Event Detail Record (EDR) it generates. For example, an operator might use rate tags to separate charges for calling premium-rate numbers from charges for calling standard-rate numbers in the EDR.
