charging data record (CDR)

A data record containing details of a chargeable event generated by a service exchange system and translated into MATRIXX Data Container (MDC) format for rating. A CDR contains information such as the type of event, for example, voice or SMS, the origination and destination, the start date and time, the duration, and the amount of data transferred.
