cost balance

A cost balance is a balance instance that when impacted by a charge, the charge is reported as a cost both in notifications (that are sent from MATRIXX Engine) and in engine responses to subscription management operations. If needed, operators can set filters in systems upstream from MATRIXX Engine, such as in the Business API Gateway, to filter out balances that are not cost balances. A balance instance that is a cost balance is based on a balance template that has its Include in Cost attribute enabled (checkbox selected in My MATRIXX). Actual-currency balances must be cost balances. Asset balances can be configured as cost balances. Pseudo-currency balances are only reported as cost balances if their balance template has the Include in Cost checkbox selected.
