Service Contract Offer Payment Processing

A payment is processed as a purchased item cycle.

A service contract offer defines the total length of the contract, the frequency of payments, and the cycle data such as the start and offset. Late charges are applied on the contract late charge debt balance after the late charge grace period has passed if the recurring charges cannot be paid. This can be a fixed amount, or a percentage of the service contract offer or bundle recurring charge. For a service contract bundle, this includes all recurring charges for all offers in the bundle. If at the end of the cycle the recurring charge cannot be paid, the recurring charge is charged on the contract debt balance. For more information about debt balances, see the discussion about service contract offer debt balances.

The service contract debt can be paid through a SubMan API by specifying the amount that will be paid and selecting the method of payment as pay on account, Pay Now, or a combination of the two unless the amount exceeds the contract debt balance.
