Create a GL Transaction Profile Selector Table
A General Ledger (GL) transaction profile selector table uses business logic to select a specific GL transaction profiles to use.
Before you begin
Create the GL account types, GL transaction types, and GL transaction profiles that will be referenced in the GL account selector tables.
About this task
A GL account selector table uses normalizer results in a decision table to determine the GL account type for each charge record in an event that impacts a currency balance.
Procedure

If necessary, open the
GL transaction profile selector definition.
- In General Ledger Info, click GL Transaction Profile Selectors.
- Click the name of the GL transaction profile selector in the list.
- In Edit Transaction Profile Selector, below the general properties, click New Table.

In Create
New Table:
- In Name, enter a unique name.
- (Optional) In Description, enter descriptive information about the item.
- (Optional) In External ID, enter any alphanumeric character to serve as a unique ID on this pricing object. The external ID can be used for any reason that is meaningful to your implementation of MATRIXX Engine. External IDs are saved to the pricing configuration file and loaded into the Pricing database.
- Click Create.
- In Default Result, click the GL transaction profile to use as a fallback if the decision table does not select any others.

In the Decision
Table pane, do one of the following.
- To add an existing decision
table, click Select Decision Table, click the name of the decision table
to add, and click Select. Tip: To filter the list of decision tables available, enter the decision table ID or name in the Search field.
- To create a new decision table, click Create New Table and define the new decision table. For information about creating decision tables, see the discussion about creating a decision table.
After a decision table is applied to the component table, its ID and name display as a hyperlink in the Decision Table pane. To change the applied decision table, click the hyperlink to open Edit Decision Table. After making and saving changes, click Cancel to return to the component table. - To add an existing decision
table, click Select Decision Table, click the name of the decision table
to add, and click Select.

For each row, select the GL transaction profile to be used if that
row is selected.
Note: During rating, the GL transaction profile selector type tables are examined in the order they are listed in GL processing. To change the order in which multiple tables are listed, click and drag a table to the new position in the list. All changes you make to the decision table are saved automatically.
- Click Save.
