Change a GL Account Selector

You can change the details of a General Ledger (GL) account selector.

Procedure

  1. In General Ledger Info on the GL Account Selectors tab, either click the GL account selector name, or Edit the selected object in the row of a GL transaction profile selector to change.
  2. (Optional) Click New Revision to create a new revision of the GL account selector. Otherwise, edit the GL account selector you have chosen. Revising a GL account selector saves the older revision of the GL account selector for later inspection or use.
  3. (Optional) Change the Name, Description, or External ID, or click in Start Date/Time to change the date this item becomes effective.
  4. (Optional) In Default Account enter a default account to use if no account is selected by the business rules in the decision tables for this GL account selector.
  5. Click Save.
  6. (Optional) In GL Account Selector Tables, click the name of a table or Edit the selected object in the row of a GL account selector table to change.
  7. (Optional) Change the Name, Description, External ID, or the default result as needed.
  8. Click Save.
  9. In the Decision Table pane, do one of the following:
    • To change an existing decision table, click the name of a table or Edit the selected object in the row of the decision table to change.
Tip: To filter the list of decision tables available, enter the decision table ID or name in the Search field.
    • To create a new decision table, click New Account Selector Table and define the new decision table. For information about creating decision tables, see the discussion about about creating a decision table.
After a decision table is applied to the component table, its ID and name displays as a hyperlink in the Decision Table pane. To change the applied decision table, you can click the hyperlink to open Edit Decision Table. After making and saving changes, clicking Cancel returns you to the component table.
  10. Click Save.
