GL Normalizers

General Ledger (GL) transaction profiles and GL account selectors can contain normalizer tables.

Normalizers in GL transaction profile selectors and GL account selectors can use data from the following:
  • A charge record of an event, including balance information referenced from the charge record.

The temporary data container, MtxEventChargeNormalizationInfo, includes information gathered for the event and information from the balance template which is for use in normalizing information related to individual charge record fields. For every balance impact that generates GL info, an EventChargeNormalizationInfo container is generated.

  • Extensions to the product offer associated with the charge record, if there is an associated product offer.
  • The purchased catalog item associated with the charge record, if there is an associated catalog item.
  • The message being processed.
  • The subscriber, if the event initiator is a subscriber.
  • The device, for usage events.
  • A group, with the group tier specified in the normalizer.

The MtxEventChargeNormalizationInfo MATRIXX Data Container (MDC) contains charge record information. For information about the fields in this MDC, see the discussion about MtxEventChargeNormalizationInfo MDC.

For more information about normalization, see the discussion about normalization in MATRIXX Pricing and Rating.

GL Currency and Liability Asset Information in Events

GL information is generated for actual currency in all events. GL information is generated for liability assets, and liability pseudo-currencies, only for these events:
  • balance_adjust
  • balance_rollover
  • balance_topup
  • balance_transfer
  • cancel
  • first_usage
  • forfeiture
  • period_termination
  • rollover_balance_adjust
  • usage
  • usage_refund
Note: If you are importing account selectors from a CSV file, the normalizer can only have one decision table.

For more information about importing account selectors from a CSV file, see the discussion about importing account selectors in My MATRIXX Help.
