Simulate Usage
For testing purposes, you can simulate subscription usage if you are assigned the MTX_ROLE_SIMULATE role.
Before you begin
To perform this task:
- Determine the product associated with the service type for the device usage you are simulating.
- Ensure that there are enough funds in the balances used to rate the service type.
Procedure

In Devices, click
.
The IMSI field is populated with the IMSI for the device. -
In Simulate Usage, enter the following information:
- Date and Time — The date and time for the simulation.
- Quantity — The usage quantity to simulate. Enough funds must be available in the balances used for rating the service type. Otherwise, an error message appears.
- Service Type — The product associated with the offer revision for which you are simulating usage. Only service types specific to the subscription's tenant ID populate the drop-down menu.

(Optional) To refine the device simulation by limiting it to traffic to or from
specific network entities, specify the following:
- Calling Station ID — Diameter Calling Station ID value.
- Called Station ID — Diameter Called Station ID value.
- Network ID — Diameter Network ID value.
- Source Host — Diameter Source Host value.
- Source Realm — Diameter Source Realm value.
- Destination Host — Diameter Destination Host value.
- Destination Realm — Diameter Destination Realm value.

Click Submit.
