Configuring MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool
MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool can be deployed on the local host or a remote system that communicates with MATRIXX Engine through Gateway Proxy and RS Gateway.

- Configuring MATRIXX Gateways and Web Apps
  In a non-containerized installation of MATRIXX, configure MATRIXX gateways and web apps using files in the /opt/mtx/conf directory in the pod(s) hosting those components. In a cloud native deployment, configuration files can be provided in the /opt/mtx/conf directory of the component container(s) using the following methods:

    Administrators who have access to the settings.json file can configure features of the MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool user interface. For example, the information that appears on the header of the UI screens, the format of balance charts, and date and time formats.

    You can log into MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool in two ways: using the web page login form and using a JSON POST request.

    For testing purposes, you can simulate payment methods, such as Pay Now methods usage, if you are assigned the MTX_ROLE_SIMULATE role. To simulate credit card payments, MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool provides credit card icons that can be activated when you view Payment Methods for a subscriber or group.

You can copy a page shot of the debug information and include it in correspondence with technical support or use it for reference when attempting to resolve issues. The debug information includes the URL of each request made to the specific MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool page and the response information.

      Use the shopping cart in MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool to purchase the following in a single purchase request: one or more catalog items or a package containing one or more catalog items. To display the shopping cart flow page, set the SHOPPING_CART_ENABLED flag to true in the settings.json file. By default, this property is false and only the Add Offer page with catalog items displays.

Configuring Administrative Settings

Administrators that have access to the settings.json file can enable or disable administrative features of MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool. For example, viewing or deleting sessions can be enabled or disabled and debug mode can be enabled.

To configure administrative settings, you must edit the applicable settings in the settings.json file.
