Managing Groups
A group is a collection of one or more subscriptions, users, other groups, or a combination of those. A group can belong to one other group only, but a subscription or user can belong to any number of groups. Each group can have one or more optional administrators (a subscription or user with an Admin user role). If an administrator is added, it must be an existing subscription or user but does not have to be a group member. Use the Search page to display information for a group.
Group Offers
The Offers panel displays up to three product offers the group owns. If the offer has a cycle associated with it, the Cycled icon () appears next to it. To view all offers for a group, click View All.
Add Multiple Group Offers
To add multiple offers to a group, add the offers to the shopping cart in the Add Offer page. Each offer can be configured while in the shopping cart.
Configure a Group Offer's Parameter List
If the catalog item associated with the purchased offer has parameters defined, then you can update the parameter values.

- About MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool Help
  MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool Help describes how to use MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool to view and manage subscription and group account information, including purchased offers, services, and balance amounts. MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool users are granted privileges (including managing subscriptions and groups) based on the user role they are assigned.   Log into MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool with the following procedure.

  When you log into MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool, the Home page displays.
- Debug MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool
  If enabled, use the debug mode to retrieve information about the MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool deployment for debugging issues. For more information, see the discussion about enabling debug mode in MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool in MATRIXX Web App Administration.
- Performing a General Search
  You can perform a general search for users, devices, groups, or subscriptions. In addition, you can search for an object by defining certain criteria. The available search criteria depends on the object type.
- Managing Users
  Use the User Summary page to display information for a user. Users have a many:many relationship with subscriptions and groups. If assigned the Admin user role, the user is the recipient of group notifications.

  Use the Subscription Summary page to display information for a _glossary/subscription.html.
- Managing Devices
  MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool allows you to assign devices to users and search for devices by Access Number, IMSI, Object ID, or External ID. If Login devices are enabled, you can search for devices by Login ID.
- Managing Groups

    In All Groups, you can search for a group.
  - Add a Group
    In Groups, you can add a new group.
  - General Group Information
    The General Information pane lists general information about the group.
  - Group Managing Users
    The Managing Users panel displays a group's managing users. The users listed here have a management role (for example, Admin or Owner). They are not the objects using the assets; that would be the group members (that is, subscriptions). To see all managing users, click View All on the Managing Users panel.
  - Group Members
    The Group Members panel displays the group's subscriptions, which are also known as the group members. To see all the group members, click View All on the Group Members panel.
  - Subgroups
    Subgroups lists all groups that are members of the current group.
  - Billing Cycle
    The Billing Cycle panel displays the billing cycle description, the start and end time and date of the current billing cycle, and the next billing cycle if it is set to change.
  - Group Balances
    Balances are listed in the Main Balances and Other Balances panels. Both the Main Balances and Other Balances panels list up to three balances belonging to the group.
  - Group Meters and Composite Meters
    Meter balances are listed in Composite Meters and Meters. Both the Composite Meters and Meters panels list up to three meters belonging to the group. These panels only display if a composite meter or meter exists.
  - Group Offers
    The Offers panel displays up to three product offers the group owns. If the offer has a cycle associated with it, the Cycled icon () appears next to it. To view all offers for a group, click View All.

      You can view the details for a group's offer, such as the catalog ID or offer status.
    - Add a Single Group Offer
      You can add a single offer to a group by clicking Add Offer either on the Offers panel on the Group Summary page or in All Offers.
    - Add Multiple Group Offers
      To add multiple offers to a group, add the offers to the shopping cart in the Add Offer page. Each offer can be configured while in the shopping cart.
      - Configure a Group Offer's Type
        The option to define a group offer's type is available if offer extension types are defined or if preactive is available for that offer.
      - Configure a Group Offer's Parameter List
        If the catalog item associated with the purchased offer has parameters defined, then you can update the parameter values.
      - Configure a Group Offer's Contract Options
        If the group offer's catalog item is a service contract, you can define options for the selected contract.
      - Configure a Group Offer's Cycle Type
        If an offer cycle is associated with the offer and the cycle can be modified, you can make the following changes to the offer cycle. Some offer cycles cannot be changed from what is defined in pricing.
      - Add Purchase Packages to Multiple Group Offers
        When adding multiple group offers, you can create a new purchase package for the offers or add an existing purchase package to the offers.
    - Edit a Group Offer
      You can edit an Offer by clicking on the Offers panel on the Group Summary page, Offer Details, or All Offers.
    - Add a Group Offer to a Package
      Add a group offer to a purchase package in the Offer Details page.
    - Activate a Group Offer
      Activate a group offer in the Offer Details page.
    - Suspend and Resume a Group Offer
      Suspend and resume a group offer in the Offer Details page. When suspending an offer, you have the option to define when both the suspension and resumption occurs.
    - Remove a Group Offer from a Package
      Remove a group offer from a purchase package in the Offer Details page.
    - Cancel a Group Offer
      Cancel a group offer in the Offer Details page.
  - Group Packages
    The Packages panel displays up to three purchase packages the group owns. The Cycle icon () indicates that the package has a cycle associated with it. To view all packages for a group, click View All. Packages can be sorted by either name or resource ID.
  - Additional Group Details
    You can view and edit additional information about groups, such as view upcoming charges and events, specify payment methods for the group, view recent payments, and issue payment refunds.
  - Rehome a Group
    Use the Group Summary page to rehome a group and its sessions from one sub-domain to another sub-domain in a multi-domain platform.
- Viewing Offers
  To view all the current offers in the MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool database, click View Offers on the Home page or click the Offers tab in the header on any page other than the main page.
- Managing Bulk Operations
  To use a CSV file to add/modify subscriptions, groups, device, and users directly, click Bulk Operations on the Home page or click the Bulk Operations tab in the header on any page other than the main page. You must have the MTX_ROLE_BULK_OPS role to display this tab.

Configure a Group Offer's Parameter List

If the catalog item associated with the purchased offer has parameters defined, then you can update the parameter values.

Procedure

For the listed parameters, enter new values as needed. The parameter is read-only, but the parameter value can be updated. The default value, displayed in the placeholder, is used if no value is entered.
When you are done with the configuration, click Done.
