Configure a Group Offer's Cycle Type

If an offer cycle is associated with the offer and the cycle can be modified, you can make the following changes to the offer cycle. Some offer cycles cannot be changed from what is defined in pricing.

Procedure

  1. In Offer-Cycle Type, select an Offer-Cycle Type from the drop-down menu:
    • Default — For certain offers, the Offer Cycle value is initially Default. You can change this value by selecting another Offer Cycle Type. If you leave the Offer Cycle Type set to Default, then overriding cycle information will not be set at purchase time; the default value(s) for the offer are used.
    • Billing Cycle — Appears if the offer's Cycle Period (or Period Type) and Cycle Period Interval (or Period) matches what is configured in the subscription's billing cycle. You can change this to Default, Purchase Time, or Fixed Offset.
    • Purchase Time — Select for a Purchase Time offer.
    • Purchase Date — Select if you want the start date of the cycle to be the purchase date. The time is defined in Offer-Cycle Start Time.
    • Balance Cycle — Appears if an appropriate balance exists for the object. Select if you want the offer to have a Cycle Type of Balance Cycle.
    • Offer Cycle — Select to specify the offer has a Balance Cycle Type.
    • Fixed Offset — Select if you want the offer to have a Cycle Type of Fixed Offset.
  2. If you selected an offer that has a cycle associated with it that has a Cycle Holding Balance, complete the following steps as needed:
    • If the Offer Cycle Type is Offer Cycle, in Offer-Cycle Resource, select an offer resource from the drop-down menu.
    • If the Offer Cycle Type is Balance Cycle, select a balance resource from the drop-down menu.
    • If the Offer Cycle Type is Fixed Offset, in Offer-Cycle Resource, specify a valid Fixed Offset value.
  3. When you are done with the configuration, click Done.
