Private Balance Validation

A private balance must meet certain conditions to be valid.

A private balance is valid when the following conditions are met:
  • The owning offer is a subscription offer.
  • The owning offer contains only one balance state update component.
  • The private balance is an asset balance, a non-main prepaid currency balance, or a pseudo-currency balance.
  • Auto-expire is disabled on the private balance template.
  • The End Date Adjustment Type field on the selected balance template is set to Allow.
  • The private balance is not a main currency balance.
  • The private balance is not a postpaid currency balance.
  • The private balance is not a meter.
  • The private balance is not a balance instance creation policy of one per wallet.
If any of these conditions are not met, the private balance option is unavailable.
To expire a private balance upon full consumption, the following conditions must be met:
  • The private balance must use a prepaid balance template.
  • The private balance must use a simple balance template.
  • There can be only one expire on consumption private balance per catalog item.
  • A credit limit must be set on the balance template.
  • All notifications must be enabled on the balance template.

For information about restricting the required balance to a specific subscriber or device on a subscription product offer revision, see the discussion about adding balances to a new revision of a subscription product offer in My MATRIXX Help.
