Export a complete copy of all files in your user workspace for the pricing domain you are currently logged into. The export operation exports the files in your user workspace to a ZIP file and saves the ZIP file to your local file system.

- About My MATRIXX Help
  My MATRIXX Help provides information about My MATRIXX, a web application that offers a central location for creating pricing plans and configuring MATRIXX charging and rating behaviors. My MATRIXX is intended for pricing administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining pricing plans and for IT administrators or developers who configure the rating and charging behavior of the online charging system.

  The following information describes the My MATRIXX interface.
- Using My MATRIXX
  You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configuration to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles, and generators.

  The following information describes the tasks that can be performed using the My MATRIXX Home menu.
  - Home Menu Tasks
    Use the Home menu to perform the following tasks:
  - Pricing Construction / Loading
    Pricing Construction / Loading contains interfaces that enable you to schedule, compile, and validate a production version and a development version of a pricing configuration file. After the pricing compilation has been scheduled and compiled, it can be loaded and deployed onto an engine. If your engine has multiple sub-domains, each sub-domain must have the same base pricing loaded or a version of the same base pricing. You must have proper permissions to perform these tasks.
  - Pricing Repository
    The Pricing Repository interfaces enable you to view a history of changes made to a _glossary/pricing_domain.html, to view a list of files that have been changed in a domain, and to synchronize your local workspace with the _glossary/pricing_repository.html by updating, committing, and reverting files in your pricing domain.
  - Administration
    Administration interfaces enable you to set up and manage user roles, domains, and notes.
    - Managing Pricing Domains
      Use My MATRIXX to manage your pricing domains.
      - Add a New Domain to the Pricing Repository
        Add a new pricing domain when you want to create a new set of pricing files that are mutually exclusive from pricing files in other existing domains. The New Domain operation adds the new pricing domain to the pricing repository.
      - Switch to a Different Pricing Domain
        As a user logged into My MATRIXX, switch (log in) to a different _glossary/pricing_domain.html.
      - Manage Shared Workspaces
        A shared workspace is a copy of an existing domain that allows multiple users to work on it simultaneously. User commits and updates are not required to see changes within a shared workspace. Use shared workspaces to allow users who have their own login to share their changes with other users who have their own login. For example, Users A and B are both working in a shared workspace. When User A does a build, that build contains the changes from both Users A and B. By default, all users have access to a shared workspace.
      - Import a Domain into a Pricing Repository
        Import a pricing domain into the pricing repository that has previously been exported from a My MATRIXX instance (the export provides a ZIP file that can be imported). The operation creates a new domain in the pricing repository and checks in the initial contents of that new domain. You must be a user with the Global role of Domain Administration to perform this task.
      - Export a Pricing Domain to a ZIP File
        Export a complete copy of all files in your user workspace for the pricing domain you are currently logged into. The export operation exports the files in your user workspace to a ZIP file and saves the ZIP file to your local file system.
      - Import Pricing Changes into a Domain
        Import a set of pricing files into your user workspace for the pricing domain you are currently logged into. The Import operation is used to import a set of pricing files into a domain on one instance of My MATRIXX that were previously exported from a domain that was worked on in another instance of My MATRIXX. The Import operation modifies only files in your user workspace (the changes are not committed to the pricing repository). You must have the Global role of Domain Administration to perform this task.
      - Remove a Domain from the Pricing Repository
        Remove a pricing domain from the pricing repository.
    - Managing My MATRIXX Users
      Managing users in My MATRIXX includes tasks such as creating user accounts, granting access to pricing domains, assigning roles and privileges, resetting user passwords, and deleting user accounts.
    - Managing Notes in My MATRIXX
      Create notes in My MATRIXX to share information (for example, links to frequented pages) with other users in a domain. Notes can be managed through the Notes icon in the My MATRIXX toolbar or through the Notes UI under Administration.
  - System
    System interfaces enable you to manage the mdc_config_custom.xml file, manage workspace health, and view the status of running web applications and the configuration they are using.
- Catalog Configuration
  Catalog Configuration contains the Catalog Items interface that you use to create, change, or delete catalog items; the Eligibility interface to manage eligibility features and rules to determine whether a subscriber, group, or device is eligible for a catalog item; and the Normalizers interface you use to edit normalizers.
- Charging Configuration
  Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
- Policy Configuration
  Policy configuration components are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

Export a Pricing Domain to a ZIP File

Export a complete copy of all files in your user workspace for the pricing domain you are currently logged into. The export operation exports the files in your user workspace to a ZIP file and saves the ZIP file to your local file system.

Before you begin

Exporting a pricing domain from your user workspace requires that you have the Global role of Domain Administration.

About this task

Note: Tax compilation files are not included when exporting a pricing domain.

You may want to export a pricing domain from your user workspace for various reasons:

To archive the changes you made (in your user workspace) for this pricing domain, perhaps as a backup.
To transfer the changes in your workspace to another instance of My MATRIXX for testing. You might want to export and test only the files you modified in your workspace before committing them to the pricing repository.
To move changes made to files (by a pricing administrator) between two instances of the same pricing domain running on different My MATRIXX instances, such as between a development and production instance of My MATRIXX or between a home and work instance of My MATRIXX.

Note: The export operation acts on your user workspace so if you want your export to contain the latest version of pricing-domain files in the pricing repository, you must update your workspace immediately before the export, and your update must include all changed and committed files from you and all other users working on the pricing domain for that My MATRIXX instance.

Procedure

Open a web browser and enter the following URL to open My MATRIXX, where hostname is the name or IP address of the My MATRIXX pod:
http://hostname:8082/matrixx/login.html
Log into My MATRIXX.
Under Administration, click Domains (not to be confused with Domains at the top of the home page in the toolbar).
Verify that you are logged into the pricing domain that you want to export a pricing domain from by clicking Domains in the My MATRIXX toolbar. The pricing domain you are currently logged into is at the top of the list. If needed, switch domains.
In Domains, click Export.
My MATRIXX creates the ZIP file and downloads it to your local file system.
