Add a New Domain to the Pricing Repository

Add a new pricing domain when you want to create a new set of pricing files that are mutually exclusive from pricing files in other existing domains. The New Domain operation adds the new pricing domain to the pricing repository.

Before you begin

You must have the Global role of Domain Administration.

Procedure

  1. In a web browser, go to the My MATRIXX Login page:
    http://ipaddress:port/matrixx/login.html
    Where:
    • ipaddress is the IP address or URL of the external load-balancer.
    • port is the engine port defined in the opt/mtx/conf/matrix-extensions.yaml file.

By default, the port is 8082.

  2. Log into My MATRIXX.
  3. Under Administration, click Domains (not to be confused with Domains at the top of the home page in the toolbar).
  4. In Domains, click New Domain.
The pricing domain is added to the pricing repository (and to the My MATRIXX master data directory) and to your personal user workspace.
  5. Enter a name for the new pricing domain. Domain names have the following restrictions:
    • The name is only made up of alphanumeric characters, dashes (-), underscores (_), and periods (.). No other special characters are allowed.
    • The name does not conflict with an existing domain name in the pricing repository.
  6. Click Create.
As the user who created the pricing domain, you inherit the same access privileges to the new pricing domain as you have for the pricing domain you are logged into. After creating the new pricing domain, users who have the Global role of User Administration can assign Domain roles to other users for the newly created pricing domain.
