Final Unit Indication Profile Properties
Final Unit Indication (FUI) Profile properties define how to handle service access when a subscriber's balance quantity does not cover the cost of it.
Property | Description |
---|---|
Name | A descriptive name for the FUI profile. FUI profile names are displayed in My MATRIXX and can be set as the result value in a FUI generator table. |
Description | Information about the purpose of the FUI profile. |
External ID | (Optional) Use this field to identify this item in MATRIXX pricing items. An External ID is saved to the pricing configuration file and loaded into the Pricing Database. Set the External ID value to any alphanumeric character that is meaningful to your implementation. An External ID can be used, for example, to relate offers in the MATRIXX system to products in an external pricing plan. It can be used, for example, by the Subscriber Management API to query and purchase product offers and bundle IDs. |
Start Date | The day, month, and year that sets when the FUI profile becomes
activated in the pricing database. For revisions, the start date defaults to the date the revision is created. Setting future start dates allows you to have several inactive revisions, with each one becoming valid as soon as the start date occurs. Only one revision can be active in the system at one time. |
Action | How the service access is handled. This value is used for the Final-Unit-Action AVP. Values are:
When set to None, no FUI is returned in the Diameter response message. This option is used with Immediate Event Charging (IEC), in which you only want to trigger a notification when a Diameter DIRECT_DEBITING request is denied. In such cases, select Notification in the FUI profile definition. When set to Redirect, specify a Redirect Address Type and the Redirect Address Data. When set to Restrict Access, specify an optional Restriction Filter Rule or a Filter ID. The filter rule is used for the Restriction-Filter-Rule AVP. For more information, see Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) RFC 6733 and RFC 4006. |
Redirect Address Type | How the service access is redirected. The value is used for the Redirect-Address-Type AVP. If specified, the Redirect Address
Data value must also be specified. Values are:
|
Redirect Address Data | The IPv6 address, URL, or SIP URI to which the service access is redirected. This value is dependent on the Redirect Address Type and is used for Redirect-Server-Address AVP (UTF8 String). |
Denial Validity Time | A nonzero value represents a fixed time duration from the denial, regardless of upcoming time boundaries. During this time, service can be restored by modifying the
subscription and triggering a request to restore service. After this time, the network is expected to send a request to restore service. Default is 0 (zero). Configurable
for Redirect and Restrict Access actions. When Denial Validity Time is 0:
|
Notification | Indicates if a notification is sent when a FUI profile is selected. If there are multiple service contexts, multiple notifications can be sent for each context. If
selected, optionally specify the following information:
|
Restriction Filter Rules | This value is used for the Restriction-Filter-Rule AVP, if the subscriber is also allowed to access other services that are not accessible through the address given in the Redirect Address Data field. In such cases, either a Restriction Filter Rules value or the Filter IDs should be defined. |
Filter IDs | This value is used for the Filter-Id AVP if the subscriber is also allowed to access other services that are not accessible through the address in the Redirect Address Data field. The Filter-Id AVP is defined in [NASREQ] and can be used to reference an IP filter list installed in the access device by means other than the Diameter Credit-Control application, for example locally-configured. |
