Edit a Subscription Package

You can edit a purchase package's general details and cycle details.

Procedure

  1. To edit a package, click Edit the selected object next to the package description in All Packages or in Package Details.
  2. Change the following properties as needed:
    • Type — Select a type for the package.
    • Name — Enter a name for the package.
    • Priority — Enter a priority for the package.
    • Continue After Failure — Select whether to continue recurring processing after that processing has failed due to a lack of credit.
    • Custom Fields — Define any custom fields that are listed. Custom fields are determined by the selected purchase package type.
  3. To edit cycle details, scroll down to the Cycle Details section of the display and click Edit the selected object.
  4. Change the following properties as needed:
    • Cycle Type — Select the type of cycle this purchased package is aligned to and establishes its cycle offset and cycle time of day if aligned to an existing cycle. Select one of the following:
      • Billing Cycle — Appears if the offer's Cycle Period and Cycle Period Interval matches that of the item's billing cycle. You can change this to Purchase Time or Fixed Offset.
      • Current Time — Select if you want the start date of the cycle to be the current time.
      • Cycle End Time — Select if you want the start date of the cycle to be the end time of the offer's previous cycle.
      • Fixed Offset — Available for purchase packages that allow a fixed offset. Use Cycle Offset to specify the fixed offset of the purchase package with which to initially align the purchase package cycle. Cycle offsets only apply for weekly, monthly, or yearly period types. For weekly periods, the offset values are:
        • Sunday (1)
        • Monday (2)
        • Tuesday (3)
        • Wednesday (4)
        • Thursday (5)
        • Friday (6)
        • Saturday (7)
        The defined cycle offset is used as follows:
        • For a weekly cycle, the offset is the day of the week.
        • For a monthly cycle, the offset the day of the month.
        • For a yearly cycle, the offset the day of the year.

        For example, if the purchased package has a monthly cycle and an offset of 15 is specified, the cycle begins on the 15th day of the month.

      • Purchase Date — Select if you want the start date of the cycle to be the purchase date. Define the start time in Cycle Start Time.
  5. To apply the cycle change immediately, select Apply Cycle Immediately.
  6. Click Submit to save the changes, or click Cancel to keep the previous details.
