- Configuring CAMEL Gateway

For example, when migrating to the MATRIXX platform, CCF can relay incoming TCAP requests to the incumbent platform for subscribers that have not yet been migrated across. After handover, the incumbent platform processes the TCAP request without any further involvement with MATRIXX.

  Call Control Framework (CCF) supports making Mobile Application Part (MAP) Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) call out requests to deliver USSD notifications to a subscriber. CCF also supports USSD services for queries, call back, and interactive menus using MAP-Process-UnstructuredSS-Request messages, and MAP-UnstructuredSS-Request messages.

Configure Forced Rating

Perform this task to configure force rating for failed and non-chargeable voice calls and SMS per voice or SMS service

Procedure

During engine configuration, enable CAMEL Gateway advanced options by answering y to the following create_config.info question:

Specify the name of the custom MDC to use for rating TCAP and CAP services by answering the following configuration question. Use a name other than none:

Camel Gateway:Which private MDC should be used for rating CAMEL Messages?

Add a string field named ZeroCharge in the custom MDC.

Enable the ZeroCharge field by answering y to the following additional configuration question:

Camel Gateway:Do you want to use the ZeroCharge field in the private TCAP/CAP MDC to indicate forced zero quantity rating?
