SCCP Calling Party Address Configuration

You can use configuration parameters in create_config.py to define calling party address fields output in Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP) messages.

Example SCCP Calling Party Address Configuration

SCCP Calling Party Address Configuration Parameters describes the create_config.py parameters necessary for configuring calling party address fields sent in SCCP messages and shows default values for each parameter.
Note: System administrators configure calling party address per processing server. The values specified for the first processing server are used as the default values for each additional processing server.
Table 1. SCCP Calling Party Address Configuration Parameters
Parameter Description Default Value
SCCP Address Specifies the value to use in the calling party address field of the SCCP message. Valid values are:
  • incoming — Use the received SCCP called party address as the calling party address. If you specify incoming, no further questions relating to the SCCP address are asked.
  • pc — To specify a point code as the calling party address. You must answer another question to specify the point code.
  • gt — To specify a global title as the calling party address. You must answer more questions to specify the global title.

incoming
Point Code If you set SCCP Address to pc, specifies the point code to use in the SCCP calling party address.

GT TypeIf you set SCCP Address to gt, specifies the global title type to use in the SCCP calling address. Valid values are:
  • 1 — Use digits and nature of address.
  • 2 — Use digits and translation type.
  • 3 — Use digits, translation type, and numbering plan.
  • 4 — Use digits, translation type, numbering plan, and nature of address.

GT DigitsIf you set SCCP Address to gt, specifies the global title digits to use in the SCCP calling party address. You must specify a non-negative integer.

GT Nature of AddressIf you set SCCP Address to gt, specifies the nature of address of the global title to use in the SCCP calling address. Specify a value in the range 0 to 127:
  • 0 — Unknown
  • 1 — Subscriber
  • 3 — National
  • 4 — International
  • All other values are spare or reserved.

GT Numbering PlanIf you set SCCP Address to gt, specifies the numbering plan of the global title to use in the SCCP calling address. Specify a value in the range 0 to 15:
  • 0 — Unknown.
  • 1 — ISDN/telephony numbering plan (ITU-T E.163 and E.164).
