Configuring CAMEL Gateway Advanced Options

Enable CAMEL Gateway advanced options to enable additional configuration options.

CAMEL Gateway advanced options are disabled by default. You enable CAMEL Gateway advanced options by answering y to the following question during engine configuration:
Do you wish to configure advanced options (y/n)?y
You can then set additional global configuration options to:
  • Force rating for failed and non-chargeable voice calls and SMS.
  • Concatenate the Local Area Code (LAC) and Cell ID parameter values and store the concatenated value in a custom field so that it can be used during rating.
  • Store the application context and call reference number for calls or SMS attempts to custom fields so that they can be reported in MEF records and used for reconciliation.
You can also configure per voice charging service:
  • Whether CAMEL Gateway arms the following event detection points (EDPs) as interrupted:
    • oAnswer or tAnswer
    • oDisconnect leg 2 or tDisconnect leg 2
  • For CAP2 and CAP3 protocols, whether to send ReleaseCall instead of Continue on receipt of an EventReportBCSM request operation for which eventTypeBCSM is not oAnswer or tAnswer.
  • Whether to use alternative message sequences.
