Prerating Callout Actions

Prerating call out actions define how to handle queries to an external database or system to retrieve subscriber information.

You can configure the following types of callout actions and add them to Prerating profiles:
  • Mobile Application Protocol (MAP) callouts to an external database, such as an MNP (mobile number portability) database. You select the type of information you want to query in the Info Query Flags field. You can query any of the following information:
    • Subscriber Location
    • Subscriber State
    • Subscriber IMEI
    • Service Info
    • Redirection Info
    • Routing Info
    • MNP Info
    • Interrogate Supplementary Service
    • Custom
  • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) callouts to an LDAP server.
When you select one or more Info Query Flags, such as the subscriber location or subscriber state, the request is marked as successful only if that specific information is returned in the response.

MAP Interrogate SS Callouts

Select the Interrogate Supplementary Service flag to configure a MAP-Interrogate-SS callout, for example, to recover the call forwarding status from the HSS for roaming VoLTE subscribers.

Custom MAP Callouts

Select the Custom flag if you are not looking for specific information. You can then use selective updates to customize the callout object after it is in the message. For more information, see the discussion about the example MAP ATI callout extension configuration in MATRIXX Call Control Framework Integration.
Note: Include only one custom query per Prerating profile. If multiple custom queries are attempted, only the result of the last query is stored.
