Create a User Account
User accounts can be either technical user accounts or commercial user accounts. For more information about these user types, see the discussion about managing My MATRIXX users.
About this task
- System administrators who have the Global role of User Administration can create technical user accounts. User credentials allow the user to work on pricing files in the specified pricing domain.
- System administrators who have the User Administration and Tenant Administration roles and tenant managers can create commercial user accounts. When created, commercial users are added to the same domain as the system administrator or tenant manager who created them.
Procedure
- Log into My MATRIXX as a user who has the user role required to create the desired user type.
- Under Administration, click Users.
Technical Users
To create a technical user, perform the following steps:

In Users:
- If the logged-in user does not have the Tenant Administration role, click New User.
- If the logged-in user has the Tenant Administration role, click New Technical User.

Define the following properties:
- Enter the username and password for the account. The password you enter in the Password and Repeat Password fields must match.
- Click Create.
- In Edit User Info, assign the Global and Domain user roles the user is authorized to have by selecting the appropriate check boxes under Global Roles and Domain Roles. See the discussion about technical user roles for information about the privileges for each role.
- Click Save.
Commercial Users
To create a commercial user, perform the following steps:
- In Users, click New Commercial User.

In Edit User
Info, change the password and tenant role as needed.
Users with the Tenant Administration role or are tenant managers can promote tenant users to tenant managers and demote tenant managers to tenant users. Tenant managers can only edit the tenant managers and tenant users within their domain and tenant profile.
- Click Save.
