Administration
Administration interfaces enable you to set up and manage user roles, domains, and notes.
Managing My MATRIXX Users
Managing users in My MATRIXX includes tasks such as creating user accounts, granting access to pricing domains, assigning roles and privileges, resetting user passwords, and deleting user accounts.
Add a Technical User to a Pricing Domain
You can add a technical user to your _glossary/pricing_domain.html. Pricing administrators must have log in credentials for a pricing domain to manage the domain's pricing files. Credentials can be created for standard user privileges or administrator-type privileges that are based on the roles you assign the users when adding them to a domain.

- About My MATRIXX Help
  My MATRIXX Help provides information about My MATRIXX, a web application that offers a central location for creating pricing plans and configuring MATRIXX charging and rating behaviors. My MATRIXX is intended for pricing administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining pricing plans and for IT administrators or developers who configure the rating and charging behavior of the online charging system.

  The following information describes the My MATRIXX interface.
- Using My MATRIXX
  You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configuration to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles, and generators.

  The following information describes the tasks that can be performed using the My MATRIXX Home menu.
  - Home Menu Tasks
    Use the Home menu to perform the following tasks:
  - Pricing Construction / Loading
    Pricing Construction / Loading contains interfaces that enable you to schedule, compile, and validate a production version and a development version of a pricing configuration file. After the pricing compilation has been scheduled and compiled, it can be loaded and deployed onto an engine. If your engine has multiple sub-domains, each sub-domain must have the same base pricing loaded or a version of the same base pricing. You must have proper permissions to perform these tasks.
  - Pricing Repository
    The Pricing Repository interfaces enable you to view a history of changes made to a _glossary/pricing_domain.html, to view a list of files that have been changed in a domain, and to synchronize your local workspace with the _glossary/pricing_repository.html by updating, committing, and reverting files in your pricing domain.
  - Administration
    Administration interfaces enable you to set up and manage user roles, domains, and notes.
    - Managing Pricing Domains
      Use My MATRIXX to manage your pricing domains.
    - Managing My MATRIXX Users
      Managing users in My MATRIXX includes tasks such as creating user accounts, granting access to pricing domains, assigning roles and privileges, resetting user passwords, and deleting user accounts.
      - Technical and Commercial User Roles
        You can create the following types of users in My MATRIXX:
      - Create a User Account
        User accounts can be either technical user accounts or commercial user accounts. For more information about these user types, see the discussion about managing My MATRIXX users.
      - Delete a My MATRIXX User Account
        System administrators who have the Global role of User Administration can delete a My MATRIXX user account.
      - Reset a Password for a User
        Reset the account password for a My MATRIXX user.
      - Grant Privileges to a Technical User
        Grant privileges to technical user accounts based on user roles.
      - Add a Technical User to a Pricing Domain
        You can add a technical user to your _glossary/pricing_domain.html. Pricing administrators must have log in credentials for a pricing domain to manage the domain's pricing files. Credentials can be created for standard user privileges or administrator-type privileges that are based on the roles you assign the users when adding them to a domain.
      - Remove a Technical User from a Pricing Domain
        Remove a technical user from a _glossary/pricing_domain.html. Only those users who have the Global role of User Administration can remove a technical user from the credentials list for a pricing domain. Users cannot delete themselves, nor can they change their permission level.
    - Managing Notes in My MATRIXX
      Create notes in My MATRIXX to share information (for example, links to frequented pages) with other users in a domain. Notes can be managed through the Notes icon in the My MATRIXX toolbar or through the Notes UI under Administration.
  - System
    System interfaces enable you to manage the mdc_config_custom.xml file, manage workspace health, and view the status of running web applications and the configuration they are using.
- Catalog Configuration
  Catalog Configuration contains the Catalog Items interface that you use to create, change, or delete catalog items; the Eligibility interface to manage eligibility features and rules to determine whether a subscriber, group, or device is eligible for a catalog item; and the Normalizers interface you use to edit normalizers.
- Charging Configuration
  Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
- Policy Configuration
  Policy configuration components are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

Add a Technical User to a Pricing Domain

You can add a technical user to your pricing domain. Pricing administrators must have log in credentials for a pricing domain to manage the domain's pricing files. Credentials can be created for standard user privileges or administrator-type privileges that are based on the roles you assign the users when adding them to a domain.

Procedure

Log into My MATRIXX as a user who has the Global role of User Administration.
Under Administration, click Users.
In Users, click the name of the user you want to add to the pricing domain.
In Edit User Info, in the Domain Roles section, locate the pricing domain in the list that you want to add the user to. You can add a user to more than one pricing domain.
Select the check boxes for the Domain role the user is authorized to have for each pricing domain you add them to.

Click Save.
As the user who created the pricing domain, you inherit the same access privileges to the new pricing domain as you have for the pricing domain you are currently logged into. After creating the new pricing domain, users who have the Global role of User Administration can assign Domain roles to other users for the newly created pricing domain.
