Add a FUI Generator ID to a Service Context Definition

You can configure final unit indication information for a service context dynamically by specifying a Unit ID, or statically by specifying the unit information in the service type definition. If both are specified, both are compiled into the pricing file, but the FUI generator ID is used during rating.

Before you begin

If specifying a Unit ID, create the FUI profiles and FUI generators in My MATRIXX and record the FUI generator ID. The FUI Generator ID is displayed in My MATRIXX next to the FUI generator in the FUI generator list.
Note: The pricing revision information is not part of a catalog component's ID. For example, with FUI generator ID 20, the initial revision is displayed as 20-0, revision 1 is displayed as 20-1, revision 2 is displayed as 20-2, and so on. In this case, the FUI generator ID value is 20.

You must have the Domain role of Configuration User to edit a service type.

Procedure

  1. In the Service Types editor, click a service type name.
  2. In Edit Service Type, click a service context type name.
  3. In Edit Context Type, scroll down to Final Unit Information and select one of the following.
    • Unit ID — Select a final unit generator ID from the list.
    • Unit Information — Enter the following information to configure the final unit information.
      • Last Unit Action — How service access should be handled.
        • None
        • Terminate
        • Redirect
        • Restrict Access
Note: If Restrict Access is selected, either a restriction filter rule or a filter rule should be configured.
      • Redirect Address Type — How the service access should be redirected.
        • IPv6 address
        • URL
        • SIP URI
      • Redirect Address Data — The IPv6 address, URL, or SIP URI to which the service access should be redirected.
      • Restriction Filter Rule List — A list of restriction filter rules if the subscriber is also allowed to access other services that are not accessible through the address given in the Redirect Address Data field. Enter one or more restriction filter rules.
      • Filter Rule List — A list of ID filters if the subscriber is also allowed to access other services that are not accessible through the address given in the Redirect Address Data field. Enter one or more ID filters.
Note: If you initially specify static unit information and then edit the service type FUI information to use a final unit generator ID, the static unit information is persisted if you want to later revert to the original configuration.
  4. Click Save.
