Create an Sh Repository Data Profile

You create Sh Repository Data profiles to associate with product offers. After Sh Repository Data profiles are committed to the pricing repository, they appear in My MATRIXX in the SH Repository Data tab of a Product Offer revision.

About this task

You can also create an Sh repository data profile by copying an existing profile. Open SH Repository Data and select the copy icon in the row of an Sh repository data profile. Enter a new name for the profile and make changes using the steps 2 through 8 below.

Procedure

  1. In SH Repository Data, click the Repository Data Profiles tab, then click New Repository Data Profile.
  2. Fill in the following information:
    1. In Name, enter a unique descriptive name for the Sh repository data profile. This value is required.
    2. In Description, enter an optional description for the Sh repository data profile.
    3. (Optional) In External ID, enter any alphanumeric characters to serve as a unique ID for this pricing object. The external ID can be used for any reason that is meaningful to your implementation.
    4. Click Create to create the new profile. The profile is created.
  3. In Start Date/Time, use the date picker to select the date on which the object becomes active in the Pricing database and is first available for use, or enter the date in the format YYYY-MM-DD. Optionally, enter a time for when the object becomes active. The default start date/time is 2000–01–01 00:00:00. If applicable, the range in which the start date/time must fall is listed. For example:
    • Select a date on or before 2021–12–01.
    • Select a date on or after 2020–01–27.
    • Select a date between 2000–01–02 and 2021–10–04.
Note: If you are creating a new revision of this object, the start date/time must be after the start date/time of the preceding revision and before the start date/time of the next revision. If you are making a copy of this object, the start date/time is not copied. The new object is the first revision, so it has the default start date/time of 2000–01–01 00:00:00.
  4. (Optional) Select One Time Profile, if you plan to use this profile only once.
  5. In Max Expiry Time, enter the maximum time at which the Sh repository data profile expires.
  6. In the Repository Data pane, click New Repository Data.
  7. Enter the following:
    1. In Service Indication, enter a name for the service or data.
    2. In Service Data, enter well-formed Sh XML that defines the data you want to receive, or service you want to run.
  8. Click Save.
The new profile is added to the Sh Data Repository Profiles list and is available for use in offers.
