Managing Devices
MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool allows you to assign devices to users and search for devices by Access Number, IMSI, Object ID, or External ID. If Login devices are enabled, you can search for devices by Login ID.
View Device Details
You can view a device by double-clicking on the device in the Subscription Summary page or by searching for the device.

- About MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool Help
  MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool Help describes how to use MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool to view and manage subscription and group account information, including purchased offers, services, and balance amounts. MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool users are granted privileges (including managing subscriptions and groups) based on the user role they are assigned. - Logging into MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool
  Log into MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool with the following procedure.
- Navigating MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool
  When you log into MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool, the Home page displays.
- Debug MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool
  If enabled, use the debug mode to retrieve information about the MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool deployment for debugging issues. For more information, see the discussion about enabling debug mode in MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool in MATRIXX Web App Administration.
- Performing a General Search
  You can perform a general search for users, devices, groups, or subscriptions. In addition, you can search for an object by defining certain criteria. The available search criteria depends on the object type.
- Managing Users
  Use the User Summary page to display information for a user. Users have a many:many relationship with subscriptions and groups. If assigned the Admin user role, the user is the recipient of group notifications.

  Use the Subscription Summary page to display information for a _glossary/subscription.html.
- Managing Devices
  MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool allows you to assign devices to users and search for devices by Access Number, IMSI, Object ID, or External ID. If Login devices are enabled, you can search for devices by Login ID.
  - Search for a Device
    You can search for devices by Access Number, IMSI, Object ID, or External ID. If Login devices are enabled, you can search for devices by Login ID.
  - Add a Device
    You can add a device to the MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool database. When adding the device, you can also add the device to a subscription's configuration.
  - View Device Details
    You can view a device by double-clicking on the device in the Subscription Summary page or by searching for the device.
  - Edit Device Details
    You can edit the access number or access ID for devices.
  - Delete a Device
    You can delete devices from the database. To delete the device, the device must not be in the Active state.
  - Rehome a Device
    Click Devices on the Home page or the menu bar to rehome a device and its sessions from one sub-domain to another sub-domain in a multi-domain platform.
- Managing Groups
  A group is a collection of one or more subscriptions, users, other groups, or a combination of those. A group can belong to one other group only, but a subscription or user can belong to any number of groups. Each group can have one or more optional administrators (a subscription or user with an Admin user role). If an administrator is added, it must be an existing subscription or user but does not have to be a group member. Use the Search page to display information for a group.
- Viewing Offers
  To view all the current offers in the MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool database, click View Offers on the Home page or click the Offers tab in the header on any page other than the main page.
- Managing Bulk Operations
  To use a CSV file to add/modify subscriptions, groups, device, and users directly, click Bulk Operations on the Home page or click the Bulk Operations tab in the header on any page other than the main page. You must have the MTX_ROLE_BULK_OPS role to display this tab.

View Device Details

You can view a device by double-clicking on the device in the Subscription Summary page or by searching for the device.

Procedure

Do one of the following:

In the Home page, click Subscriptions and search for a subscription.
In the Subscription Summary page or in All Devices, double-click a device name.

Device Information lists the information shown for each device.

Table 1. Device Information
Value	Description
Device Type	Icon representing the device and device type; for example, MtxMobileDeviceExtension.
Object ID	An identifier that is automatically created by MATRIXX Engine.
Tenant ID	The object's tenant ID if it has one. This is set upon object creation and cannot be edited.
Subdomain ID	The object's sub-domain ID. This determines the sub-domain where the object resides.
IMSI	Number up to 15 digits long that identifies the SIM of a GSM/UMTS mobile device; for example, 14054123456789. Note: This property is optional if the `IMSI_FIELD_REQUIRED` flag in the settings.json file is set to `false`. By default, it is required.
Access Numbers	SIM numbers (MSISDN) that identify a unique subscription in the GSM/UMTS network for a mobile device. The Access Number must be an integer and is limited to 15 digits.
Login ID	The device login ID.
Access IDs	Access IDs associated with the login device.
External ID	An external ID that identifies the object.
Last Activity Time	Date and time of the last activity on the device.
Status	The status of the device; for example, Active or Suspended.
Extension Fields	Any custom fields (extensions) defined for this object.

If you have device simulate permissions, you can click to simulate device usage.
