MATRIXX Charging Application can calculate rates and MATRIXX Policy Application can make policy decisions extremely quickly and efficiently because both solutions use linear equations rather than step-by-step hierarchical checks to determine calculations during rating.

Algebraic-Decision technology results in a highly flexible and configurable pricing, rating, and policy model that does not require custom coding to implement. The human view of pricing is separated from the machine view used during rating. The human view is based on Shared Information/Data (SID) standards and is configured in My MATRIXX, an intuitive graphical user interface application. It is easy to create complex charging and discounting models in My MATRIXX that are saved in XML format. The XML files are transformed into sets of mathematical equations that represent the machine view. During rating, the Algebraic-Decision engine computes these equations without having to understand the business rules surrounding them, which removes the procedural overhead of traditional rating and charging solutions.

The Algebraic-Decision technology allows for high throughput and low latencies regardless of whether your pricing is simple or very complex. This allows you to create complex pricing and policy models and easily make changes to pricing plans without having to change the underlying code.
