Change a Rate Table
A change to a rate table is a change to any price component that contains it. Rate-table properties that impact charge price components, discount price components, and grant price components can vary. About this task
You can change the name and description of a rate table, change the rating formula that is applied to the condition(s) defined in the rate table, and change the balance or balance class that is to be impacted by the rating formula.
Procedure
- In Price Components, click the tab of the type of price component (Charges, Discounts, or Grants) that contains the rate table to change.
- Click the name of the price component name that contains the rate table to change.
- In Edit Price Component, in the Rate Tables pane, select the name of the rate table to change.

In Edit Rate
Table, click the General tab to change the general properties of the rate table.
- To change the rate table Name or Description, enter a new value.
- To change the balance class, balance, or balance tag impacted by the rating formula of the rate table, click Select Balance. The contents of the balance option drop-down menu changes according to if you select to use a balance or a balance tag. If no balances or balance tags are available for selection, the drop-down menu is disabled.
- To change the default formula to be used for the rate table, click Edit Formula.

- Click Save to save any changes to the upper portion of Edit Rate Table.

In the Decision
Table pane, make the following changes if needed:
- To replace the decision table that is applied to the rate table with an existing decision table, click Select Decision Table.
- To replace the decision table that is applied to the rate table with a newly created decision table, click Create New Table.
- To change the decision table that is already applied to the rate table, click the hyperlink displaying its ID and name to open Edit Decision Table. Make and save changes, and then click Cancel to return to the rate table.
- To change the rating formula to
apply to any decision row in the rate table:
- If the decision table applied contains a single-parameter decision (one Formula row is shown). Change the single rating formula by clicking the edit icon in the result cell and enter the appropriate values in the formula dialog box.
- If the decision table applied contains a multiple-parameter decision, change the result (rating formula) of any rule set in the table (any condition-set row of the applied decision table), by clicking in the Result column and selecting a different result value.

- (Optional) To change the order of the rate tables in the rate tables list, click in the ID column and drag the rate table to the new position.
