Create a Rate Table Parameter

If the parameter you want to use in a rate table does not exist, you can create it dynamically from the Edit Formula dialog box.

About this task

When you create and add a parameter to a rate table, the parameter, with its default value, is also assigned to the parent price component.

Procedure

1. In Edit Rate Table, click Edit Decision Table Formulas.
2. In Edit Formula, in Formula Type, select Rating Formula.
3. Click New next to the type of parameter you want to create.
4. In Create New Parameter Definition:
   1. In Name, enter a unique name.
   2. In Type, select decimal.
   3. (Required) In Default Value, enter a default value for the parameter.
   4. Click Create.
