Apply Proration Settings

Use the Proration tab to define how much of the offer charges, grants, or time periods are applied or refunded if the offer is canceled.

Procedure

  1. In Edit Offer Revision offer_name, click the Proration tab.
  2. In Charge Proration Settings, set the proration options for when a subscriber is charged.
    • Purchase Proration Type
      • Charge Prorated Amount (default)
      • Charge Full Amount
      • Charge Nothing
    • Cancel Proration Type
      • Refund Prorated Amount (default)
      • Refund Full Amount
      • Refund Nothing
      • Refund Forfeiture Based Amount
      Note: If the Offer Cancel Type in the General tab is not set to Immediate, the Cancel Proration Type is automatically set to Refund Nothing, and cannot be modified.
    • Suspend Proration Type
      • Refund Prorated Amount (default)
      • Refund Full Amount
      • Refund Nothing
      • Refund Forfeiture Based Amount
    • Resume Proration Type
      • Charge Prorated Amount (default)
      • Charge Full Amount
      • Charge Nothing
    • Refund Proration Grant — Select a grant to refund. Only set when Refund Forfeiture Based Amount is selected in Cancel Proration Type or Suspend Proration Type.
    • Refund Proration Granularity — Enter a divisor and measurement unit. Only set when Refund Proration Grant is set.
  3. In Charge in Arrears Proration Settings, set the proration options for when a subscriber is charged in arrears.
    • Purchase Proration Type
      • Charge Prorated Amount (default)
      • Charge Full Amount
      • Charge Nothing
    • Cancel Proration Type
      • Charge Prorated Amount (default)
      • Charge Full Amount
      • Charge Nothing
      Note: If the Offer Cancel Type in the General tab is not set to Immediate, the Cancel Proration Type is automatically set to Charge Full Amount, and cannot be modified.
  4. In Grant Proration Settings, set the proration options for when a subscriber is granted resources.
    • Purchase Proration Type
      • Grant Prorated Amount (default)
      • Grant Full Amount
      • Grant Nothing
    • Cancel Proration Type
      • Forfeit Prorated Amount (default)
      • Forfeit Full Amount
      • Forfeit Nothing
      • Forfeit Consumption Based Amount
      Note: If the Offer Cancel Type in the General tab is not set to Immediate, the Cancel Proration Type is automatically set to Forfeit Nothing, and cannot be modified.
    • Suspend Proration Type
      • Forfeit Prorated Amount (default)
      • Forfeit Full Amount
      • Forfeit Nothing
      • Forfeit Consumption Based Amount
    • Resume Proration Type
      • Grant Prorated Amount (default)
      • Grant Full Amount
      • Grant Nothing
    • Total Contribution — Select a grant to refund. Only enabled when Forfeit Consumption Based Amount is selected in Cancel Proration Type. Only periodic balances are available for selection. See the discussion about proration properties for more information.
    • Shared Asset — Select a shared asset. Only enabled when Forfeit Consumption Based Amount is selected in Cancel Proration Type. Only periodic balances are available for selection. For more information, see the discussion about proration properties.
  5. In Period Proration Settings, set the proration options for when charges are prorated.
    • Short Period Proration
      • No Proration (default)
      • Prorate
    • Long Period Proration
      • No Proration (default)
      • Prorate
    • Charge Period Termination Proration Type
      • Refund Prorated Amount (default)
      • Refund Full Amount
      • Refund Nothing
    • Grant Period Termination Proration Type
      • Forfeit Prorated Amount (default)
      • Forfeit Full Amount
      • Forfeit Nothing
  6. Click Save.
    The pricing proration behavior is saved to the revision.
