Configure Session Management Policy Table General Properties

Perform this task to configure session management policy table general properties.

Procedure

  1. In Edit Session Management Policy Table, click the General tab.
  2. In Default Result, select a default result for the policy component. This is the policy that is returned for any decision row that is not specified in the table.
If Default Result is SKIP, when the conditions defined in the policy table matrix are not met, the policy table is skipped and the next table in the list is evaluated.
  3. Click Save.
Note: If you change any values in these fields, you must click Save.
  4. In Decision Tables, click Select Decision Table. Select a decision table to be used for the policy table and click Select.
Typically, this is a decision table that includes a balance distribution normalizer. If the decision table does not exist, click Create New Table to create one. For more information, see the discussion about decision tables.
Note: The ID and name of the decision table that is applied to the policy table displays as a hyperlink in the Decision Table pane. To change the applied decision table, you can click the hyperlink to open Edit Decision Table, make and save your changes, and then click Cancel to return to the policy table.
  5. For each row in the policy table, click the cell under Session Management Profile and select the policy profile to return for the associated condition set. Or select SKIP to ignore the policy table during rating.
