Table 1. Session Management Default EPS Bearer Properties
Property Description
Name The name of the QoS profile.
Description Information about the QoS profile.
QoS Profile Type Read only QoS profile type (Default EPS Bearer).
QoS Class Id The QoS class identifier (QCI) defines the traffic priority, packet error loss rate and acceptable packet delay. 3GPP defines nine QoS classes. Four classes (1-4) trigger the establishment of a dedicated bearer (GBR). Five classes (5-9) trigger the establishment of a non-dedicated bearer (non-GBR).
Priority Level Allocation Retention Policy (ARP) controls what happens when there are insufficient resources to establish a new EPS bearer. Values are 1-15 with 1 being the highest priority. Priority levels 1-8 should be assigned only to resources for services that are authorized to receive prioritized treatment within an operator domain. Priority levels 9-15 can be assigned to resources that are authorized by the home network and therefore applicable when a user equipment (UE) is roaming.
Preemption Capability Determines if a bearer with a lower ARP priority level should be dropped to free up the required resources. Values are 0 (no) or 1 (yes).
Preemption Vulnerability Determines if a bearer with a lower ARP priority level should be dropped by a preemption capable bearer with a higher priority value to free up the required resources. Values are 0 (no) or 1 (yes).
