MEF Automatic Publishing Frequency

After you generate a MATRIXX Event File (MEF), it is published to an off-engine location for archiving and failover.

MEF publishing frequency is controlled by these create_config.info parameters:
  • Size limit
  • Time limit
  • Event count
  • Idle time
  • Publishing rate

The maximum size of the MEF file is controlled by this MATRIXX Engine configuration question: What is the size in MBytes that you want to use to trigger a file close for a MATRIXX Event File?

The longest amount of time that a MEF file can stay open is controlled by this MATRIXX Engine configuration question: What is the time in seconds that you want to use to trigger a file close for a MATRIXX Event File?

The largest number of events that a MEF file can contain is controlled by this MATRIXX Engine configuration question: What is the event count that you want to use to trigger a file close for a MATRIXX Event File?

The time interval between publishing MEF files is controlled by this MATRIXX Engine configuration question: How often (in seconds) should the MATRIXX Event Files be published?

For more information, see the discussion about MEF publication configuration in MATRIXX Configuration.
