Rate Table Selection During Rating
There are three possible outcomes when considering whether the rate tables in a charge component are applied during authorization and rating: pass, fail, and not applicable. The outcome depends on the contents of the rate table row selected and the validity of the impacted balance.
If the row selected has a rating formula and not a SKIP value, there is an available amount below the credit limit in the balance, the rate table passes and is used. The remaining rate tables in the component are not examined. For grants, the credit limit is not considered.
If the selected row has a rating formula and not a SKIP value, but there is either no valid instance of the impacted balance, for example when the filters are not valid, or all the valid instances are at or above their credit limit, the rate table fails and is not used. The next rate table in the price component is examined for validity.
If the selected row has a SKIP value, it is not applicable and the next rate table is examined.
