Priority Properties
Subscription and global offers can be prioritized for rating based on a static or dynamic priority.
Product Offer Priority Properties lists priority properties.
Property | Description |
---|---|
Static Priority | (Optional) Select Static and enter a static priority in the Static Priority field for subscription and global product offers. If two product
offers have the same priority, one is chosen arbitrarily, and a warning is written in the log. The priority value is a signed
32-bit integer, or the string values |
Balance Expiration (Subscription Offers only) | Select Balance Expiration to use the balance expiration priority for subscription offers. You must specify a primary balance from the list of the required balances
on the offer. Optionally, enter a value in the Balance Expiration Coefficient field to give the offer primary balance expiration value more or less value in the dynamic offer priority formula. The value must be a 32-bit integer. If you specify a positive coefficient value, offers whose primary balance expires later have a lower priority. Use a negative coefficient value to give a higher priority to offers whose balances expire later. |
Priority Generator | Select Priority Generator to select a priority generator for the offer to use from the Select Priority Generator list. Optionally, you can enter a 32-bit integer in Priority Generator Coefficient to give the priority generator result more or less value in the dynamic offer priority formula. |
Use for Policy | Use for Policy is automatically selected if either or both Balance Expiration and Priority Generator are selected. Deselect Use for Policy so
that dynamic priorities are applied only when the Policy Quota Action Type is defined in the product offer General tab. For more information about general properties,
see the discussion about general product offer properties. If a Policy Quota Action Type or Use for Policy is selected the priority is defined as: Product Offer Priority = Offer Static Priority + (Priority Generator Result * Priority Generator Coefficient ) - (Primary Balance Expiration Rank * Balance Expiration Coefficient) |
See the discussion about calculating product offer priority during rating in MATRIXX Pricing and Rating for details about how these properties affect offer prioritization during rating.
