System interfaces enable you to manage the mdc_config_custom.xml file, manage workspace health, and view the status of running web applications and the configuration they are using.
Managing Custom Data Container Files
In Custom Data Container, you can import, export, and remove an mdc_config_custom.xml file that defines any custom _glossary/mdc.html created during MATRIXX Engine configuration.
Import Custom MDCs
Any custom _glossary/mdc.html created during MATRIXX Engine configuration is defined in the mdc_config_custom.xml file. You can import your custom MDC file.

- About My MATRIXX Help
  My MATRIXX Help provides information about My MATRIXX, a web application that offers a central location for creating pricing plans and configuring MATRIXX charging and rating behaviors. My MATRIXX is intended for pricing administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining pricing plans and for IT administrators or developers who configure the rating and charging behavior of the online charging system.

  The following information describes the My MATRIXX interface.
- Using My MATRIXX
  You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configuration to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles, and generators.

  The following information describes the tasks that can be performed using the My MATRIXX Home menu.
  - Home Menu Tasks
    Use the Home menu to perform the following tasks:
  - Pricing Construction / Loading
    Pricing Construction / Loading contains interfaces that enable you to schedule, compile, and validate a production version and a development version of a pricing configuration file. After the pricing compilation has been scheduled and compiled, it can be loaded and deployed onto an engine. If your engine has multiple sub-domains, each sub-domain must have the same base pricing loaded or a version of the same base pricing. You must have proper permissions to perform these tasks.
  - Pricing Repository
    The Pricing Repository interfaces enable you to view a history of changes made to a _glossary/pricing_domain.html, to view a list of files that have been changed in a domain, and to synchronize your local workspace with the _glossary/pricing_repository.html by updating, committing, and reverting files in your pricing domain.
  - Administration
    Administration interfaces enable you to set up and manage user roles, domains, and notes.
  - System
    System interfaces enable you to manage the mdc_config_custom.xml file, manage workspace health, and view the status of running web applications and the configuration they are using.
    - Managing Custom Data Container Files
      In Custom Data Container, you can import, export, and remove an mdc_config_custom.xml file that defines any custom _glossary/mdc.html created during MATRIXX Engine configuration.
      - Import Custom MDCs
        Any custom _glossary/mdc.html created during MATRIXX Engine configuration is defined in the mdc_config_custom.xml file. You can import your custom MDC file.
      - Export Custom MDCs
        Custom MATRIXX data containers (MDCs) that you create during MATRIXX Engine configuration are defined in the mdc_config_custom.xml file. You can export a custom MDC file to use it in a different domain.
      - Remove Custom MDCs
        Custom MATRIXX data containers (MDCs) that you create during MATRIXX Engine configuration are defined in the mdc_config_custom.xml file. You can remove a custom MDC file so that the MDCs are not available in My MATRIXX.
    - View Web Application Status and Configuration
      Use the Web Application Status page to view information about the running web application(s).
    - Manage Workspace Health
      If you encounter an SVN corruption issue (for example, a conflict) when trying to synchronize a workspace, you can recreate your workspace by reverting to an earlier version.
- Catalog Configuration
  Catalog Configuration contains the Catalog Items interface that you use to create, change, or delete catalog items; the Eligibility interface to manage eligibility features and rules to determine whether a subscriber, group, or device is eligible for a catalog item; and the Normalizers interface you use to edit normalizers.
- Charging Configuration
  Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
- Policy Configuration
  Policy configuration components are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

Import Custom MDCs

Any custom MATRIXX Data Container (MDC) created during MATRIXX Engine configuration is defined in the mdc_config_custom.xml file. You can import your custom MDC file.

Procedure

Open a web browser and enter the following URL to open My MATRIXX, where hostname is the name or IP address of the My MATRIXX pod:
http://hostname:8082/matrixx/login.html
Log into My MATRIXX.
Under Administration, click Custom Data Container.
In Import Custom Data Container, click Choose File.
In File Upload, go to the directory containing the mdc_config_custom.xml file that has the custom data containers that you want to import, select the file, and click Open.
Click Import.
The file is saved to your local workspace and the custom MDCs are loaded from it.
Commit the changes to the pricing repository.
You must commit the changes so that the custom MDCs are loaded if you restart My MATRIXX and to make the custom MDCs available to all My MATRIXX users. For more information, see the discussion about committing changes to the pricing repository.
