Managing Custom Data Container Files

In Custom Data Container, you can import, export, and remove an mdc_config_custom.xml file that defines any custom MATRIXX Data Container (MDC) created during MATRIXX Engine configuration.

Important: You can either load a custom MDC file in My MATRIXX or provide a custom MDC file using a ConfigMap or configuration source.

For more information, see the discussions about importing, exporting, and removing custom data container files in My MATRIXX Help.

When you import a custom data container file, the file is added to your local workspace and the containers are loaded from it. To persist those containers so they are loaded the next time you start My MATRIXX, you must commit the changes. When you commit the changes, they are copied to the master data directory where they are available to all users.

You can export the file from one domain to import it into a new domain. You can export the file to compare it with the file you are using on your running MATRIXX Engine to ensure they are the same.

You can remove an mdc_config_custom.xml file if it is outdated or if you created the current domain from an existing domain and want to remove any custom MDCs created for the original domain.

Note: You can only import one mdc_config_custom.xml file.
