Multiple Sub-domain Deployments
Use Kubernetes namespaces to install MATRIXX in multiple sub-domains.
Install the engine for each sub-domain in its own Kubernetes namespace, including its own instance of the engine custom resource definition (CRD) and associated Controller/Manager instances. A single set of access group components can be installed per cluster, also within a namespace.
Note: When upgrading Engine Operator-based deployments, upgrade one sub-domain at a time.
Figure 1 shows two instances of MATRIXX Engine at each of two sites. Engines and shared storage persistent volumes are in their own distinct namespaces corresponding to each sub-domain at each site.
