Released Calls and Denial Codes
For calls that are rejected by pricing before the call is connected, the pricing denial code is mapped onto the cause value in the ReleaseCall operation sent to the MSC.
When pricing rejects a call at the start of the call with a denial code, MATRIXX Engine returns a TCAP message to
the Mobile Switching Center (MSC) containing the denial code in the
ReleaseCall.cause
value. Note: You can use only denial code numbers in the range 1 to 127. For denial
code values that are greater than 127, bits higher than 7 are masked or ignored, and only the remaining 7-bit value is sent in the ReleaseCall operation.
For more information
about denial codes, see the discussion about denial codes in MATRIXX Pricing and Rating.
