Shared Storage

MATRIXX Engine connects to a SAN shared stored device to archive transaction-processing data. The archived data is used to recover from an engine failure.

Shared storage must be set up before starting MATRIXX Engine.

The processing server must have READ access to the shared storage device.

The active publishing server mounts shared storage with a READ-WRITE SAN mount and exports the shared storage as NFS. The standby publishing server mounts the shared storage with READ-ONLY access.

If the publishing server fails, the spare publishing server must be block mounted to access the SAN storage array and must have the same READ and WRITE access that the failed publishing server had.
