Administering the MATRIXX Web Apps

You use the commands listed in this section to start, stop, and restart the MATRIXX Web apps. You use the MATRIXX Digital Commerce system logs and SNMP statistics and notifications to monitor the MATRIXX Digital Commerce web-facing applications.

Attention: You must configure Java memory heap allocations for each Web app and gateway. Usually, the default Java memory heap allocations should be adjusted for your specific environment. For example, the default RS Gateway default configuration is -Xmx8g. MATRIXX recommends that you change this to -Xmx32g. For more information about suggested settings, see the discussion about configuring Java options for MATRIXX Web apps and gateways in Installation and Configuration.

For information about monitoring the Web apps and configuring their SNMP statistics, see the discussion about monitoring the MATRIXX Web apps in MATRIXX Monitoring and Logging.
