Add Price Components

You use the Price Components tab to add any predefined price components the finance contract offer requires. A contract can have only one purchase charge component and zero or more discount components.

Procedure

  1. In Edit Offer Revision offer_name, click the Price Components tab.
  2. (Optional) Select a GL Target Grant.
  3. Click Add Price Component.
  4. Select a price component from the list.
Note: Add is unavailable until you select the initial price component.
  5. Click Add. Repeat this step for each price component to add.
Note: You can filter the list of price components by typing a string in the Search field. You can also sort the list by clicking on a column heading.
  6. (Optional) To configure binding for a product offer, in the Price Components table, click the name of the price component.
  7. In Price Component Parameters Binding, click Edit the selected object to the right of the price component parameter.
MATRIXX creates a default binding between each price component parameter and an offer parameter with the same name. You can change the binding to select a different parameter as required.
Note: You can filter the list of price component parameters by typing a string in the Search field. You can also sort the list by clicking on a column heading.
  8. In Edit Parameter Binding:
    • To bind the parameter with a constant value, in Bind With, select Constant and in Constant Value, enter the value to use.
    • To bind the parameter with a price component parameter, in Bind With, select Parameter and in Offer Parameter Name, select the required parameter. Both parameters must have the same data type.
    • To revert to the default parameter binding, click Default.
Note: By default Default is selected and the price component parameter is bound to a product offer parameter with the same name. MATRIXX adds the parameter to the offer if it is not assigned to that offer already.
  9. Click Save.
The price components are saved to the revision.
