Dynamic PCC Rules

Dynamic PCC rules are dynamically provisioned by the PCRF to the PCEF through the session management policy interface.

Dynamic PCC rules do the following:
  • Specify the AF signaling protocol for the rule.
  • Provide charging parameters and policy control for a service data flow, and indicate whether a component's constituent flows are enabled (uplink, downlink, or bidirectional), disabled, or removed.
  • Identify the service to which the service data flow contributes.
  • Specify the metering method.
  • Indicate offline and online status.
  • Set rule priority and the rating group.
  • Specify whether the allocation retention priority preemption capability and preemption vulnerability are enabled.
  • Set the allocation retention priority level.
  • Specify the maximum guaranteed download and upload bitrate.
  • Specify the maximum bandwidth download and upload speed.
  • Identify the QoS class that defines traffic priority, packet error loss rate, and acceptable packet delay.
