TSAN Reorigination Service Configuration Properties

You can use the configuration properties in create_config.py to configure the Temporary Service Access Number (TSAN) reorigination service for calls using the CAP1 protocol or CS1 INAP protocol.

TSAN Reorigination Service Configuration

To use the TSAN reorigination service for processing calls, you must specify a value that is greater than zero for the expected maximum reorigination call rate when you answer the following create_config.info question:
What is the rate of reorigination calls per second for the TSAN service?
The system uses this value when calculating how many TSAN database objects are required.
Note: TSANs are telephony numbers that are predefined by the operator and used by the CCF TSAN reorigination service to reoriginate CAP1 calls, or CS1 calls using CAP2, CAP3, or CAP4.
When you set the expected maximum reorigination call rate to a positive nonzero value, the following additional configuration is enabled. Otherwise, it is disabled:
  • Configuration, on a per voice service basis, to enable the TSAN reorigination service to search for TSANs in InitialDPs. To use the TSAN reorigination service, you must answer y to the following create_config.info question for at least one voice service, where voice_service is replaced by the name of the voice service:
Camel Gateway:VCS voice_service:Do you wish to search for TSAN's in the InitialDP (y/n)?y
  • Additional create_config.info questions for configuring the TSAN reorigination service, as follows:
Camel Gateway:What is the average reorigination time in milliseconds?
Camel Gateway:What time out in seconds do you want for the Re-Originated IDP containing the TSAN digits?
Camel Gateway:Do you want the TSAN gateway to be your default Cap1 service, instead of Voice (y/n)?
Camel Gateway:How many TSAN selectors do you wish to create for the TSAN service?
CAMEL Gateway TSAN Reorigination Service Configuration describes the additional CAMEL Gateway create_config.py properties for the TSAN reorigination service and lists the default value for each parameter.
Table 1. CAMEL Gateway TSAN Reorigination Service Configuration
Property Description Default Value
Average Reorigination Time Specifies the expected average time (in milliseconds) for a reorigination call. The system uses this value when calculating how many TSAN database objects are required.

create_config.info question: Camel Gateway:What is the average reorigination time in milliseconds?

1000
TSAN Timeout Defines the maximum number of seconds that the TSAN reorigination service waits for the reoriginated InitialDP, containing the TSAN digits, before timing out.

create_config.info question: Camel Gateway:What time out in seconds do you want for the Re-Originated IDP containing the TSAN digits?

5
Default CAP1 Service (For CAP1 calls only) Enter y if you want the TSAN reorigination service to be the default service for CAP1 calls. Otherwise, the default voice service for CAP1 is used.

If you answer y to this question, the default service selectors for the CAP1 voice service are overwritten by the default service selectors for the TSAN reorigination service, and you do not have to specify any additional service selectors for the TSAN reorigination service.

If you answer n to this question, the default service selectors for the CAP1 voice service are not overwritten. This means that to use the TSAN reorigination service and a CAP1 voice service, you must specify one or more additional service selectors for the TSAN reorigination service.

create_config.info question: Do you want the TSAN gateway to be your default Cap1 service, instead of Voice (y/n)?

n
Number of Service Selectors Specifies the number of additional service selectors for the TSAN reorigination service, where each selector defines criteria for selecting the service. You can specify a maximum of 20 additional service selectors.
You must configure additional service selectors for the TSAN reorigination service:
  • If the default service for CAP1 calls is the CAP1 voice service, and you want to use the TSAN reorigination service as well.
  • To use the TSAN reorigination service for CS1 INAP calls. For CS1 INAP, you must set the TCAP application context in the service selector configuration to: 0.4.0.1.1.1.0.0.

create_config.info question: Camel Gateway:How many TSAN selectors do you wish to create for the TSAN service?

For each additional TSAN service selector, you must answer the following additional Camel Gateway create_config.info questions:

Selector 1:What is the calling SCCP global title prefix for this selector?

Selector 1:What is the calling SCCP point code for this selector?

Selector 1:What is the SCCP Subsystem number for this selector?

Selector 1:What is the TCAP Application Context for this selector?

Selector 1:What is the IDPSMS Service Key for this selector?

Selector 1:What is the IDP Event Detection Point for this selector?
