Network Enabler Routing Configuration

You can use configuration parameters in create_config.py to define Network Enabler signaling link routes.

Sample Network Enabler Routing Configuration

Routing Configuration describes the create_config.py parameters necessary for configuring a route for a signaling link and shows example values for each parameter. You specify similar configuration for each route.

Note: In the example configuration there are eight links and two routes per link (one point code route and one global title route), making sixteen routes altogether.
Table 1. Routing Configuration
Parameter Description Example Value
Number of Routes The number of routes required, based on the number of configured links. This question is asked only once. Subsequent questions are asked per route.

create_config.info question: Network Enabler: How many routes do you want?

16
Number of Policy Rules The number of policy rules for routing outgoing messages based on fields from the SCCP (signaling connection control part) called or calling party address.

Set to 0 (the default value) to configure routing based only on the destination point code or global title digits.

If you specify a value that is greater than 0, you are asked additional configuration questions for defining the policy rules. See the discussion about configuring SCCP routing policy for more information.

create_config.info question: Network Enabler: How many routing policy rules do you want?
0
Link Name The name of the link to use for this route.

create_config.info question: Network Enabler Route 1:What link does this route use?

STP1_link_1
Global Title Flag Answer n unless this is a global title route.

create_config.info question: Network Enabler Route 1: Is this a global-title route (y/n)?

n
Point Code Start Number The Point Codes for this route must be in the range of Point Code Start Number to Point Code End Number.

create_config.info question: Network Enabler Route 1:What is the first point-code to match?

0
Point Code End Number The Point Codes for this route must be in the range of Point Code Start Number to Point Code End Number.

create_config.info question: Network Enabler Route 1:What is the last point-code to match?

4294967295
Note: If you answered y to the create_config.info question:

Network Enabler Route n: Is this a global-title route (y/n)?

Then the following questions are asked. Leave blank to accept the default:

Network Enabler Route n: What is the first global-title prefix to match?
Network Enabler Route n: What is the last global-title prefix to match?
