Configuring SCCP Routing Policy
You configure Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP) routing policy to define policy rules for routing outgoing SCCP messages based on address fields such as the point code and global title digits from the called or the calling number.
A policy rule defines:
- The list of fields and the field values to match from the calling party address (CgPA) or called party address (CdPA).
- The name of the policy that this policy rule belongs to. CCF routes messages matching a rule belonging to this policy using a route assigned to this policy.
A policy rule can match values in any of the following fields in the
SCCP message:
- Address Indicator
- Routing Indicator
- Subsystem Number
- Point Code
- Global Title Indicator
- Translation Type in the global title
- Numbering Plan in the global title
- Nature Of Address in the global title
After defining policy rules and the policies that they belong to, you assign each route to a policy. CCF routes outgoing SCCP messages that match a rule defined for a policy using a route assigned to the policy.
