MATRIXX Call Control Framework (CCF)

MATRIXX Digital Commerce includes an integrated GSM Service Control Function to support call control capabilities for telephony services.

MATRIXX Call Control Framework (CCF) includes the following capabilities:

  • Direct connection to the Circuit Switched (CS) core network, to enable charging and monitoring of voice calls and SMS MO without any dependency on third party systems.
  • Support for multiple service patterns, such as the CAP2, CAP3, and CAP4 voice charging service patterns, and CAP3 SMS charging service pattern.
  • Support for charging for CAP1 and CS1 INAP calls using timers or the TSAN reorigination service.
  • Support for additional non-charge related Intelligent Network (IN) capabilities such as pre-call announcements, number translation, and number portability.
  • A flexible mechanism for controlling how to play pre-call announcements, including executing scripts implemented using VOICE XML (VXML) on an internal or an external IVR system.
  • Support for Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) notifications, queries, call back services.
  • Support for interactive menus using IVR announcements or USSD.
  • Functionality for querying an external system, such as an HLR or a MNP database, using the MAP protocol.
  • Functionality for querying an LDAP server.

CCF enables service providers to replace their legacy IN Service Control Point (SCP) infrastructure with next-generation networks.

For information about CCF hardware requirements and configuring CCF, see Installation and Configuration.
Note: When CCF is enabled, memory usage may increase by up to 552MB.
