  - LDAP Call Out Service Components
    Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) service uses multiple components for processing LDAP call out requests and responses.
  - High Availability (HA) and Failover
    In a HA environment, LDAP Gateway can send LDAP requests to a specified list of LDAP servers. LDAP Gateway attempts to connect to the first server in the list. If, for any reason, LDAP Gateway cannot connect to this server, it attempts to connect to each server in the list in turn, until it makes a connection. LDAP Gateway sends LDAP requests to this server until the connection with the primary LDAP server is re-established. If LDAP Gateway fails to connect to any of the listed servers, it returns an error message to the Charging Server indicating that no server was available to process the request.
  - Configuring LDAP Call Out Service
    System Administrators configure the LDAP call out service to enable communication between Apache ActiveMQ, a MATRIXX Engine, and the LDAP call out service.

LDAP Call Out Service

MATRIXX Call Control Framework (CCF) provides support for making Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) call out requests to an LDAP server in response to TCAP or Diameter messages that require them.

During rating, if required, the LDAP service sends LDAP call out requests for additional subscriber information, through the LDAP Gateway, to a remote LDAP server.
