Monitoring MATRIXX SNMP Statistics

By default, the SNMP Agent running on a MATRIXX Engine monitors the status and health of all the blades and clusters it contains. It collects statistics to aid in identifying potential processing problems.

MATRIXX Engine SNMP statistics are related to system performance, business processing, and system topology, and are stored in the in-memory statistics database on each local blade server. They are populated for the SNMP Agent so notifications can be sent and are defined in the MATRIXX MIB file. For a list of the MATRIXX MIB files, see the discussion about all MATRIXX MIB files in MATRIXX Monitoring and Logging.

These statistics are collected for MATRIXX Engine:
  • CAMEL Gateway and voice charging statistics.
  • CAP3 SMS statistics.
  • Charging Server statistics.
  • Cluster and peer cluster statistics.
  • Database statistics, including memory, index, OID index, object, and segments.
  • Diameter Gateway statistics.
  • Diameter return code statistics.
  • Event Loader statistics.
  • LDAP Gateway statistics.
  • MATRIXX Engine version information.
  • MDC Gateway connection and latency statistics.
  • Memory statistics.
  • Mobile Application Part (MAP) call out statistics.
  • Notification Server statistics.
  • Notification statistics.
  • Payment Gateway statistics.
  • Process-level statistics.
  • Proxy Gateway statistics.
  • Queue statistics.
  • Route Cache Controller statistics.
  • Route Cache Agent statistics.
  • RS Gateway statistics.
  • Signaling Network statistics.
  • System topology statistics.
  • Task Manager statistics.
  • TCAP Protocol statistics.
  • Traffic Routing Agent statistics (all functions).
  • Transaction processing statistics.
  • Transaction replay statistics.
  • TSAN (Temporary Subscriber Access Number) statistics for CAP1 reorigination services.
  • USSD statistics for notifications, USSD incoming, and call back services.

The print_blade_stats.py script prints these SNMP statistics for the local blade, or one you specify. If you are monitoring statistics from this script, the statistic name does not contain the MIB table name, and instead starts with the remainder of the statistic name, starting with a lower-case letter. For example, the SNMP stat txnReplayCurrentTransactionBatchCount appears as "currentTransactionBatchCount" from the print_blade_stats.py script.
