Configuring MATRIXX Network Enabler

MATRIXX Network Enabler should be configured as a HA pair to provide failover capabilities.

Configuring Network Enabler involves setting Network Enabler configuration on the Network Enabler server and configuring Network Enabler processes.

If you are running Network Enablers on multiple customer sub-domains, you must also configure the Route Cache and Route Cache Controller. The Route Cache holds subscriber identity data and session identity data that maps either subscribers or sessions to particular sub-domains. The Route Cache Controller is responsible for maintaining the Route Cache and applying any updates from the processing blades. Network Enablers use the Route Cache to look up routing information when processing network requests.

For information about configuring the route cache and the Route Cache Controller, see the discussion of configuring sub-domain routing in Installation and Configuration.

Note: The route cache and Route Cache Controller service are not needed when a single customer domain is used.

If both the MATRIXX Traffic Routing Agent (TRA-RT-(SI/DR) and Network Enabler are required, both can be configured to run on the same server. For information, see the discussion of configuring Network Enabler to run on Traffic Routing Agent servers.

If TRA-RT-(SI/DR)s are not required, you can configure Network Enabler to run on its own server. For information see the discussion about configuring Network Enabler to run on Network Enabler servers.
