Recurring Charge

The MtxRequestSubscriberEstimateRecurringCharge SubMan API estimates balance impacts from recurring processing of currently failing recurring cycles and upcoming recurring cycles (active purchased items cycles, balance cycles and billing cycles).

The estimated recurring charges and grants can be used to avoid recurring processing failure because of insufficient funds. The response returned in MtxResponseRecurringChargeInfo is broken down by cycle. For each cycle, there is a list of impacted balances, impact amounts and impact types (such as charge, tax, grant, and so forth). In addition, impacts due to charges for cycle arrears processing are included.
Note: Cycle arrears succeeds even if there are insufficient funds; there are no recurring processing failures for cycle arrears processing.

Recurring charges and grants for each upcoming balance or billing cycle are estimated according to the state of the wallet when the call is issued and the revisions of purchased offers at the beginning of each upcoming balance or billing cycle. If a periodic balance is configured incorrectly and as a result does not have a future period, estimated recurring charges are not returned for cycles that impact this balance. Estimated recurring charges may not be returned for some cycles (for example, if a monthly recurring offer impacts a daily recurring balance). For more information about periodic balance windows, see the discussion about sliding windows for periodic balances and meters in MATRIXX Pricing and Rating.
